TRESPASS

RYAN: Nicole Kidman, Nicolas Cage in a Joel Schumacher movie… I don’t know why this didn’t get a wide release.

CAROLINE: Well, as you know, I’m not at all a fan of Nic Cage so I didn’t care. What did you think of it?

RYAN: I fully enjoyed it and although I watched it at home, I think I would have liked it even more on the big screen. It’s rawther suspenseful.

CAROLINE: Okay, Eloise. So how were the stars?

RYAN: I just love Nikki Kidman in anything she does, and she’s gorge in this. She gives a good performance, but it’s not the juiciest part in the world. It’s pretty much just two notes alternating betwixt frustrated and scared.

CAROLINE: And Nic?

RYAN: He’s good in almost the whole film. His character has more range than Nicole’s but his very first scene – where he’s just on a phone call – was totally wooden, like he couldn’t act.

CAROLINE: That doesn’t shock me. Can you just admit he’s no longer a fabulous actor?

RYAN: Well, I generally like him but this just wasn’t his finest work.

CAROLINE: Mm hmm.

RYAN: The movie is entertaining in a similar way to Panic Room.

CAROLINE: I liked that film. And let’s not forget, it was Kristen Stewart’s first big role.

RYAN: Indeed. And Trespass is only ninety minutes. which is nice too.

CAROLINE: So why does Nic Cage look so fug in this? I was shocked when I saw the trailer.

RYAN: I don’t know if he has gained some weight or if they used makeup to make him look more average-American-man or what.

CAROLINE: How hot is that Cam Gigandet in it?

RYAN: Um, very. He does a lot of acting with his body… and who’s complaining?

CAROLINE: …certainly not Nikki Kidman.

RYAN: I liked this movie. It’s a fun, suspenseful and well acted ninety minutes.
