Trailer Thursdays!

RYAN: Hear ye! Hear ye! Come one, come all to this special edition of
Trailer Thursdays!

CAROLINE: Thank God there’s another day of the week that begins with “T.”

RYAN: So…”Scoop.”

CAROLINE: Yes. We were oh-so-disappointed with the Woody Allen that
came out last fall – but now we have a new one, also starring
Scarlett, and it looks funny and madcap.

RYAN: And it has Hugh Jackman, who’s hot.

CAROLINE: Very hot. And Woody’s in it too.

RYAN: And it looks super, I love this kind of sleuthing movie. And I
like the title animation with all the tarot cards. It looks fun, funky and
fresh.

CAROLINE: This looks a little bit funny, just like “Manhattan Murder
Mystery,” which came out in the early 90s.

RYAN: Which is one of your favorite Woody movies.

CAROLINE: We hope you’ll like it.

RYAN: Check out the trailer here:

RYAN: The next trailer we would like to review –

CAROLINE: Actually, I would not like to but we’re going to anyway.

RYAN: It’s the latest from Will Ferrell.

CAROLINE: Oh? Will “One Trick Pony” Ferrell?

RYAN: Yeah, you’ve seen him do this once, you’ve seen it a thousand times. But I still love the man.

CAROLINE: And it’s got a ridiculous title: “Talladega Nights: The
Ballad of Ricky Bobby.”

RYAN: But I love Will Ferrell. He has his
moments of brilliance.

CAROLINE: He was great in “The Producers,” for example.

RYAN: He was excellent in that. I’m sure he’s terrific in this. It just
looks a little over the top.

CAROLINE: For example, there is yet another scene of him running
around in his underwear.

RYAN: I feel like that’s he favorite thing to do and it’s outgrown its on screen welcome.

CAROLINE: Yeah, but I agree that he’s often very funny. But the topic
of this movie, which is car racing, could not interest me any less, as
a woman.

RYAN: And I think Will is smarter than that. I’d like to see him take
his turn as funnyman-plays-straight and do a serious role like
Steve Carell in “Little Miss Sunshine” or Jim Carrey in “The Truman
Show.”

CAROLINE: That’s why I liked him in “The Producers.” He wasn’t just
being Will Ferell, he was actually playing a part. I just feel like
in every movie he’s in, it’s just a vehicle for him to run around
naked or in his underwear and it’s just annoying.

RYAN: Well, check out the trailer here and let us know what you think:
