THE LAST KISS

CAROLINE: How I love a relationship movie!

RYAN: Maybe not this kind of relationship movie. This was devastating.

CAROLINE: I wouldn’t say that. I just love a relationship movie.

RYAN: So you’re happy right now, after seeing this?

CAROLINE: Yeah, I loved it.

RYAN: Loved it too, but my heart was just ripped outta my chest.

CAROLINE: Eh…

RYAN: You are a cold-hearted snake.

CAROLINE: Not really.

RYAN: You are a jaded…

CAROLINE: No! I liked the movie. I love movies about relationships.

RYAN: But movies about relationships that are failing apart left and right? Where everyone’s miserable in their relationship?

CAROLINE: Not in every case. By the way, we’re talking about “The Last Kiss.”

RYAN: And after seeing it, you may feel as though you never wanna kiss again.

CAROLINE: (laughs) Bite your tongue.

RYAN: This was an excellent film. Everyone performed well; however, it was completely intense and painful.

CAROLINE: Ok, sensitive-pants. It was a fun, -yes, tough- relationship movie. But aside from Jacinda Barrett and Zach Braff having zero chemistry, I really liked it. Everyone was great. Blythe Danner – fuhgetaboutit!

RYAN: This was the role of her lifetime. And Zach and his friends were all really cute.

CAROLINE: Comme ci-comme ca, which is French for not so much.

RYAN: And we must mention this was filmed at my alma mater, the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

CAROLINE: I’ve never been there.

RYAN: I attended college there and I loved recognizing several locations. But Jacinda’s Aussie accent crept in from time to time in this movie and it was ridonkulous!

CAROLINE: I can’t believe the director allowed that in the film. There’s one scene in particular where she’s yelling and her Australian accent comes out so badly… it was like, I can’t believe someone didn’t yell “cut” and just redo the scene.

RYAN: Oh, totally! And for the most part the rest of the cast sounded rather Midwestern so it was a shock they let that slip by.

CAROLINE: Really a huge oversight. Other than that Jacinda was pretty good, except for those two huge freckles on her chest.

RYAN: Didn’t bother me. The whole cast was pretty cute.

CAROLINE: We know virtually nothing of Rachel Bilson and she was a pleasant surprise. She was good as a saucy little temptress.

RYAN: She held her own. Each performance was strong. The soundtrack is great. And the direction was interesting and cool.

CAROLINE: Agreed. Bottom line?

RYAN: It’s a wonderful movie-going experience. You can’t help but emotionally connect. You’re present while in the audience; but, it’s heart-wrenching.

CAROLINE: I don’t know if I’d call it an excellent film. But I definitely liked it. I enjoyed the acting very much. And I thought Blythe really stood out in a few scenes. I definitely recommend this to anyone in their twenties and thirties who has ever been in a relationship… which is all of us.

RYAN: On Wisconsin!

Thanks For Viewing The THE LAST KISS

I just can’t get over the fact that Jacinda Barrett was on The Real World. Thus, I can never see this movie. (I also don’t think Zach Braff is that cute. He’s like a deformed David Duchovny. What was Mandy thinking?)

Hey Joy!A lot of people agree with you on both points. But we’re beginning to think Jacinda transcends her reality TV roots. She has garnered a prestigious list of acting credits and is strong in this film. Thanks for reading our blog!!xoxo Ryaline
