New on DVD
RYAN: It’s a very comedic DVD release week, with a touch of sentiment thrown in. First up is “I Love You, Man” with Paul Rudd and Jason Segel.
CAROLINE: This movie is hilarious! It’s a must-rent if you missed it in the theater. Certainly not Oscar worthy but funny but with a dash of heartwarming relationship stuff too; and not just the lovey-dovey kind.
RYAN: We love a good bromance, and Paul Rudd always delivers.
CAROLINE: I loved the supporting cast too – Jaime Pressly, Andy Samberg, J.K. Simmons and a few others you’ll recognize.
RYAN: Rashida Jones was OK, but her part is sort of thankless. This one’s really about male relationships more than a it’s traditional romantic comedy.
CAROLINE: Definitely worth a viewing. Also new on DVD this week is “17 Again” with Zac Efron and one of my old favorites, Matthew Perry.
RYAN: This movie was so cute, and I’m so annoyed that you haven’t seen it.
CAROLINE: I know, but I saw it on a plane, remember? It was only so-so.
RYAN: Yeah, but you slept through the best part!!
CAROLINE: That may be true. Maybe my expectations were too high because you told me repeatedly how great it was. But I wasn’t loving it on the plane. I’ll try to rent it someday.
RYAN: I’m not holding my breath.
