New on DVD

CAROLINE: One of my absolute favorite movies of last year, “Gran Torino,” is new on DVD this week. I still don’t understand why it was completely snubbed at the Oscars.

RYAN: Yeah, it was a great one. Evidently there’s no stopping Clint Eastwood.

CAROLINE: This movie is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. I laughed, I cried, etc. I can’t recommend it enough. Except for that Asian kid; his acting was horrendous.

RYAN: [laughs’ Indeed it was. But the girl who played his sister or cousin or whatever she was totally made up for it. She was amazing.

CAROLINE: Please rent this movie if you haven’t seen it yet!

RYAN: Next up is “The International” starring your boyfriend Clive Owen. It also has Naomi Watts, but her part is tiny.

CAROLINE: I really liked this movie. Clive Owen is gorgeous as always. And the shoot-out scene in the Guggenheim is awesome!!

RYAN: That was one of the coolest scenes ever in a movie. This movie came out in February, which was surprising because it’s really good. We never expect to see a movie of this caliber in February.

CAROLINE: It’s one of the few very good movies of the year so far. Definitely worth a rental.

RYAN: It’s a little bloody, but if you can handle some violence, you’ll be fine.

CAROLINE: And did I mention how hot Clive Owen is?

RYAN: Yes, honey, you did.
