New on DVD
RYAN: I’m so excited I can hardly breathe! One of my favorite movies of 2008, “Australia,” is new on DVD today and I’m rushing out to buy the first second I get.
CAROLINE: I can’t believe how much you liked this movie. It was a bona fide box office bomb. The only good thing about it was a shirtless Hugh Jackman.
RYAN: How can you say that when there was so much to love? All the “Wizard of Oz” references, the love story, the cinematography… I could go on.
CAROLINE: Please don’t. You realize you’re really in the minority on this one. Even Nicole Kidman has spoken publicly about how bad her performance was in this movie.
RYAN: I don’t care. I’m buying it on Blu-Ray and then watching it at my parents’ house on their huge TV.
CAROLINE: Fair enough. Also new on DVD today is “Beverly Hills Chihuahua,” featuring the voice talents of one Drew Barrymore.
RYAN: This movie was kind of cute. Not a must see by any means, but still fun for the kids.
CAROLINE: I’m happy to say I didn’t see it, nor will I ever be renting it.
RYAN: It co-stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Piper Perabo, who are both actually in the movie, as opposed to just providing their voices.
CAROLINE: I like both of them, but not in a movie like this.
RYAN: This is truly one for the kiddies, so watch at your own risk.
