New On DVD
CAROLINE: “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” is new on DVD today!
RYAN: That was such a fun movie! But it was really one to see on the big screen.
CAROLINE: Definitely, but the real Indy fans will want to own the DVD or Blu-Ray too. It’s a special 2-disc edition with lots of behind-the-scenes featurettes, but apparently no commentary from Steven Spielberg or Harrison Ford.
RYAN: How odd.
CAROLINE: I know. Apparently they both don’t like DVD commentary. Whatever.
RYAN: Also new on DVD today is “War, Inc.” starring John Cusack and Hilary Duff. Given that we’re pretty much over any war-related movie these days, I can’t say I’m sorry we missed this one.
CAROLINE: Me neither, though it does have a great cast. Ben Kingsley’s in it too, and Joan Cusack.
RYAN: Wherever her brother goes, she follows. And I love Marisa Tomei.
CAROLINE: Yeah, but it’s a political satire about some fictional Middle Eastern country and John Cusack is a hit man posing as a trade show producer…
RYAN: Zzzzzz.
CAROLINE: Exactly. Let’s take a nap instead.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull marks the first of Steven Spielberg’s Indiana films to arrive on Blu-ray high definition, and the series’ debut on the high definition format is a visual sensation.
