New on DVD
CAROLINE: It’s a big day for DVD releases – “Iron Man” is finally here! If you missed this movie in the theater, I pity you. I think it might have been my favorite movie of the summer.
RYAN: It was awesome. You really need the big screen to fully experience this one so if you’re going to rent it, watch it somewhere with a big flat-screen TV. It’s the only way!
CAROLINE: Robert Downey Jr. is phenomenal and even Gwyneth Paltrow isn’t annoying. It’s a must-see for 2008.
RYAN: There’s a 2-disc DVD special edition with a behind-the-scenes documentary about the making of the film. I’m sure it’s fascinating; there’s so much going on in this movie.
CAROLINE: I would love to see that. I think I adore Robert Downey Jr. just a little. And he’s beyond hot in this.
RYAN: Next we have “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” an R-rated comedy starring Jason Segel who’s on TV’s “How I Met Your Mother.” I remember you howling with laughter at this movie in the theater.
CAROLINE: I really was, even though it’s not that great a movie. It made me laugh very hard for some reason. And the cast is awesome – Mila Kunis, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Russell Brand.
RYAN: The only weak link as far as actors go was Veronica Mars a.k.a. Kristen Bell.
CAROLINE: She didn’t bother me that much. But the movie just isn’t all that. It’s funny but it goes on way too long.
RYAN: If you like this cast though it would make a fun rental.
