New on DVD

CAROLINE: A movie we both wanted to like but didn’t, “Fool’s Gold” is out on DVD today.

RYAN: Ugh, this movie was so disappointing. And we had such high hopes given that Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey have that great chemistry that we saw in “How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days.”

CAROLINE: As I recall, you slept through a good portion of this movie. And we knew it couldn’t be that great since it came out in February. Having said that, I did like the underwater SCUBA scenes and stuff.

RYAN: I suppose there were a few decent scenes. Let’s move on. “Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins” is also new on DVD today, and I have very little to say about this movie.

CAROLINE: Well, we didn’t see it because neither of us could attend the critics’ screening and then LBH, we weren’t going to spend our own money to see it.

RYAN: The trailer was actually mildly amusing so this could make a fun rental. And James Earl Jones is in it, don’t forget.

CAROLINE: I’m still not sold. I would have seen it for free, but I’m not payin’.
