New on DVD

CAROLINE: A movie you liked a lot more than I did, “P.S. I Love You,” is new on DVD today.

RYAN: Gerard Butler co-stars! What’s not to love?

CAROLINE: I just didn’t buy Hilary Swank in this romantic kind of role. I think she’s better at the tough girl stuff.

RYAN: Fair enough. But Gerard Butler more than made up for it, and don’t forget how much you adored Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

CAROLINE: OMG Denny! He was fabulous. This movie is probably worth a rental if you’re in the mood for a sappy chick flick. The DVD has some deleted scenes but not too much else in the way of extras. Just don’t expect too much when you’re watching it.

RYAN: “Over Her Dead Body” also comes out on DVD today, and we were really disappointed in this movie. Eva Longoria Parker basically plays the exact same character she does on “Desperate Housewives.”

CAROLINE: Ugh, totally. I did love Paul Rudd though. He’s way too good for this movie. He must have owed someone a favor.

RYAN: Lake Bell was great too. I love her from “Boston Legal.” She’s also in “What Happens in Vegas,” which comes out this Friday.

CAROLINE: But this movie is basically an exercise in overacting. I really can’t recommend it, even as a rental. If you were forced to watch it on a plane, maybe you could get through it.

RYAN: Consider yourself warned.
