New on DVD

RYAN: There’s a big DVD release today! It’s “Spider-Man 3,” a 2-disc set replete with extras!
CAROLINE: Seriously, if you didn’t catch this movie on the big screen, you better have a ginormous TV to watch the DVD on.

RYAN: The effects were truly great. And the extras include a featurette on how they made the Sandman, the Goblin and the black Spider-Man suit.

CAROLINE: Ooh, the Sandman was the coolest. Also out on DVD today is a movie we wanted to love but didn’t, “License to Wed.”

RYAN: It stars Robin Williams, Mandy Moore and John Krasinski from “The Office,” and it’s good for a little while but the second half is lame.

CAROLINE: It might be a cute rental but don’t expect much. Just ogle the always adorable John Krasinski.

RYAN: There are no DVD extras or anything. Also out on DVD today: “Captivity” starring Elisha Cuthbert which no one saw including us, and “In the Land of Woman,” starring Meg Ryan and Adam Brody which no one saw but we loved.
