New on DVD

CAROLINE: Does it seem to you that movies are coming to DVD more quickly than they used to?

RYAN: I’m sure I don’t know.
CAROLINE: Me neither, but “Evan Almighty,” the Steve Carell flick from June that we loved but nobody else did, is already out on DVD as of today. It’s got some fun extras too, like the how they did special effects behind the flood and how Steve Carell transformed into a bearded Noah. And I’m sure a lot of the extras showcase Steve’s off-screen antics.

RYAN: He’s the best. Also out on DVD today is “28 Weeks Later,” the sequel to the original Danny Boyle zombie flick.
CAROLINE: Ick, I don’t do zombie movies.

RYAN: Well, if you’re going to rent one, rent the first one. But if you’re a fan, I’m sure the “28 Weeks Later” DVD won’t disappoint. It’s got commentary from the director, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes stuff about how they did all the zombie make-up.

CAROLINE: Fair enough, but I’ll pass. BTW another movie comes out on DVD today; that Adam Sandler/Don Cheadle debacle that I saw without you, “Reign Over Me.” But it was so awful that we shan’t speak of it again.

Thanks For Viewing The New on DVD
