Movie News – Little Red Riding Hood Film?

RYAN: You know I’m game for anything fantasy/sci fi/fairy tale, what have you.

CAROLINE: Yes you are. So what do you make of the possibility of the Little Red Riding Hood film that Warner Bros. is reportedly kicking around?

RYAN: Well from what I understand, it’s not a typical retelling of the classic Brothers Grimm story, right?

CAROLINE: Right. Leo DiCaprio’s production company is also on board and the script is apparently a more mature adaptation, seeking a more tween audience.

RYAN: Oh Twilight, what have you done?

CAROLINE: The working title is The Girl with the Red Riding Hood.

RYAN: Well someone else already made the Girl with the Pearl Earring.

CAROLINE: [laughs’ Let’s hope they don’t cast Scarlett Johansson as Little Red.

RYAN: No they need a real brunette or a ginger-haired girl. Maybe it would be the perfect comeback role for one Lindsay Lohan.

CAROLINE: Are you nuts?

RYAN: Honey, I’m kidding; settle down. Isn’t Amanda Seyfried being considered for the role?

CAROLINE: Yes. We like her.

RYAN: But she’s no Rachel McAdams.

CAROLINE: Well, she’s younger.

RYAN: So is Emma Roberts.

CAROLINE: Eek. Casting agents have a tough gig.
