Movie News – First Looks

RYAN: 2012 is shaping up to be the year of the musical. The Lorax was one as is the upcoming animated Dorothy of Oz.

CAROLINE: Isn’t Lea Michele voicing her?

RYAN: Yeah and then there’s Rock of Ages, soon, with a singing Tom Cruise and Alec Baldwin but the most anticipated of the year has to be Les Miserables!

CAROLINE: Yeah that’s gonna actually happen. Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway…

RYAN: And here’s a first look at Hugh on set:

CAROLINE: He plays Valjean. I think it’s an appropriate look.

RYAN: I like it but what’s with the shaved head? Or is he just sans wig in this picture?

CAROLINE: I’m sure I don’t know.

RYAN: It’s being directed by Tom Hooper who did the Oscar-winning The King’s Speech so I’m high hoping for this one, as it were.

CAROLINE: You also must be excited for Dan Radcliffe’s first look as Allen Ginsberg:

RYAN: Well at least he’s back in glasses. I’m quite fond of him in glasses.

CAROLINE: But there’s no magic in this one. It’s a biopic.

RYAN: It’s called Kill Your Darlings and I think he’ll be great in the role. While promoting The Woman in Black recently, he talked about how he has wanted to play Ginsberg for some time now.

CAROLINE: It doesn’t come out till next year so we’ll have to wait to see how he does.
