LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE
CAROLINE: Last night we had the pleasure of attending a Gen Art
screening of “Little Miss Sunshine” and I’d like to thank Adam very
much for the invite.
RYAN: I’d like to thank Adam too, for the invite and for eating all of
my popcorn and drinking all of my Diet Pepsi.
CAROLINE: Now I was very excited about this movie and I’m happy to say
it was hilarious.
RYAN: It was indeed HI-larious and it came at a good time for me.
CAROLINE: It’s a small movie, sort of an indie and it was a big hit at
Sundance this year.
RYAN: It’s got an ensemble cast, and it’s gold. Toni Collette, Steve Carell.
CAROLINE: Alan Arkin, cute little girl and Greg Kinnear.
RYAN: Once again, it has reaffirmed for me how wonderful an actress
Toni Collette is.
CAROLINE: She just might be the greatest actress out there and I
cannot wait for that bitch to get an Oscar.
RYAN: Waiting on pins and needles! And Steve Carrell.
CAROLINE: He did not disappoint.
RYAN: And I was really testing him during this film because we’ve seen
Jim Carrey go there and I really loved seeing Steve do a serious role.
And granted he had his funny moments that worked and were just
fabulous. But overall he was just very endearing and heart-warming
and I really felt for his character.
CAROLINE: And not afraid to play gay, which we love.
RYAN: Absolutely. He’s a hot gay man.
CAROLINE: With an immaculately trimmed beard. This movie is
laugh-out-loud funny. I seriously was gasping for breath.
RYAN: And it says something about that little child actress that she
actually stole moments away from actors like Steve Carell and Toni
Collette. And Greg Kinnear was great too – you love to hate him in
this.
CAROLINE: He plays uptight very well in his khaki shorts.
CAROLINE: I loved this movie and I would recommend it to anyone. It’s
a nice break from the summer blockbuster. It’s sweet, funny, a little
sad, but overall just a good watch and hilarious.
RYAN: Wonderful entertainment, great timing and an excellent film. I
think it’s one of the best films of the year so far and it’s something
you could watch again and again.
CAROLINE: That’s true, you’re absolutely right.
