HORRIBLE BOSSES

CAROLINE: The new Jeni Ani movie is finally here and there was much speculation at one point that she was gonna “git nekkid” – did she?

RYAN: That’d be a no. But she’s practically naked in some of the film and, for sure, incredibly sexy for the rest. It’s quite the reverse-misogynistic role for a woman.

CAROLINE: I think it’s cool one of the horrible bosses is a woman.

RYAN: The others are Colin Farrell, who looks as gross as Jen looks hot; and Kevin Spacey who hits another home run in this role.

CAROLINE: Was Colin high-lar?

RYAN: You know, I think the wig and make-up do all his acting in the movie. It’s the lamest of the ensemble roles but he sure makes a point with that look.

CAROLINE: It’s pretty fug. How are the Jasons: Bateman and Sudeikis?

RYAN: They’re both great. Bateman is always solid and, of course, he’s playing the straight man to all the shenanigans around him. And I think I can handle Sudeikis on the big screen. He’s not as off-putting as many comedians.

CAROLINE: And then what about Jamie Foxx. We do tend to hate him.

RYAN: Well I still don’t like him. And he’s working the full-on thug in this flick but he’s just in two short, yet impactful, scenes.

CAROLINE: I guess a small dose is alright.

RYAN: I really liked the first twenty minutes or so of the movie. All the stuff with the bosses being tyrants is totally relatable. But then after the plot takes off in the main direction it turns pretty screwball. There are definitely some funny moments but it’s not the must see I was hoping for.

CAROLINE: That’s too bad.

RYAN: It reminded me a bit about the 1980 Jane Fonda/Dolly Parton 9 to 5 movie, but with dudes.

CAROLINE: That movie is a classic but derivative can go good or bad.

RYAN: I just don’t think, overall, this is a movie you have to pay to see in the theater. It’s no Bridesmaids, that’s for sure.

CAROLINE: Honey, nothing is.

RYAN: …except for Bridesmaids.
