LOCKOUT

RYAN:  It’s action, it’s sci fi… what’s not to like?

CAROLINE:  You tell me.  I didn’t see it.

RYAN:  I liked it.  It’s very fast paced and exciting.  It takes place in 2079 but isn’t heavy on the sci fi other than that and some shots of outer space.  It’s mostly about the prison break and rescuing the President’s daughter.

CAROLINE:  I like Guy Pearce and Maggie Grace.  How was their chemistry?

RYAN: Really great actually and it’s helped by the script.  All characters are very well defined and the dialogue is quick and funny.

CAROLINE: Yeah I think I would be into this movie.

RYAN:  It’s all really pretty good.  The only criticism is that some of the action scenes look like you’re watching a video game.

CAROLINE:  That’s not ideal.  You want it to look real.

RYAN: Exactly.  But Guy does a great American accent, as always, and this movie is a lot like a new Die Hard.
CAROLINE:  Oh that’s a good thing.

RYAN:  The bad guys in the film are also really well cast and the makeup is good too.

CAROLINE: Is it terribly violent?

RYAN: There is some fighting but it’s all PG-13 so nothing too much.  This is a cool, suspenseful and fun option for the new movies this weekend.  It’s a good one for a date movie that’s not a typical rom com but should appeal to everybody.
