Movie News – New Wizard of Oz Movie!

CAROLINE: I can’t believe how well you’re dealing with the news of a new Wizard of Oz movie. You’re remarkably calm considering you like Oz as much as Harry Potter.

RYAN: I’m totally freaking out; but this one sounds like it might be some random B-movie, like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes or something.

CAROLINE: [laughs’ That’s not promising. It’s called The Witches of Oz 3D… Go!

RYAN: From what I’ve gathered online, it’s set in modern day. Dorothy’s grown up, heads to NYC and ends up confronting the Wicked Witch of the West in Times Square. So maybe it’s more like Enchanted, right? What business has the witch leaving Oz for New York, anyway?

CAROLINE: I highly doubt the filmmakers thought of that. Didn’t she melt anyway?

RYAN: Exactly. Christopher Lloyd stars as the Wizard; in what capacity, I don’t know.

CAROLINE: Christopher Lloyd from Back to the Future?

RYAN: And Roger Rabbit, among others.

CAROLINE: Well, B-movie or not, I’m sure you’ll be first in line.

RYAN: Don’t think I haven’t already pre-ordered the the Blu-ray… in m’ mind.

CAROLINE: [laughs’ I’m sure you will.

RYAN: It’s set for a limited US release on July 2nd. Here’s a trailer for it
