Movie News – New “Clue” Movie and “Green Hornet” Update

RYAN: There are some exciting things happening for upcoming movies.

CAROLINE: …like the new “Clue” movie that’s being made even though no one’s calling it a remake – when a movie based on the same board game already came out in 1985?

RYAN: Yes! What’s up with that? I have that movie on DVD and love it. It’s so funny!

CAROLINE: OMG love that movie! But I guess this new one is going to be more like an action/adventure movie while still inspired by the Hasbro game.

RYAN: That’s some versatility and inspiration coming from said board game. And I like it. It’s like games spawning movies are the rage now – and I don’t mean video games. There’s a “Candy Land” movie in the works too.

CAROLINE: Oh right. I have the feeling you’ll be seeing that one without me.

RYAN: In other movie news, “The Green Hornet” superhero movie for which leading man Seth Rogen lost all his weight has just gotten a new director.

CAROLINE: Don’t tell me, wait. It’s Judd Apatow?

RYAN: That would rock!

CAROLINE: That would be funny… and R rated.

RYAN: [laughs’ Yes. But, alas, it is Michel Gondry.

CAROLINE: The man who did “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”?

RYAN: That very one.

CAROLINE: Well that could bring a level of “what’s-goin-on-in-this-movie” to it.

RYAN: To say the least.
