Movie News – J. Lo is Back!

CAROLINE: Can you believe? Jennifer Lopez has signed on to star in a new romantic comedy called “The Governess.”

RYAN: Wow! We haven’t seen her in a movie in ages. I’d just about given up on her.

CAROLINE: Well, she did that movie “El Cantante” with her husband Marc Anthony, but nobody saw it, including us. And her other recent movie, “Bordertown,” went more or less straight to DVD. I assumed she was all set to be a full-time mom, but I guess she’s ready to grace us with her stellar acting skills once again.

RYAN: Come on now! I like J. Lo.

CAROLINE: I’ll confess to being a little obsessed with “The Wedding Planner,” but Meryl Streep she ain’t.

RYAN: True, but I’ve liked her in almost everything she’s done. It’ll be nice to see her in a big movie again – it’s been three years!

CAROLINE: Well, it’ll be four by the time “The Governess” comes out. She plays a professional thief who poses as a nanny for a wealthy man with three nightmarish kids. But then she starts to fall for the dude and has to decide if she wants to change her thieving ways.

RYAN: Sounds fun! I love her in a broad romantic comedy.

CAROLINE: Me too. I’ll be looking forward to this one for sure, as long as it’s nothing like “Monster-in-Law.”
