New on DVD

CAROLINE: A great heist movie from earlier this year, “The Bank Job,” is new on DVD today. Let’s remind everyone how hot the star Jason Statham is.

RYAN: He’s pretty hot, but I don’t find him as hot as you do. I did love Saffron Burrows in this movie though.

CAROLINE: Her cheekbones are so angular I thought they might come out of the screen and poke out my eye.

RYAN: Regardless, she’s gorgeous and it was an entertaining movie. They’re releasing a special 2-disc edition.

CAROLINE: And in addition to the heist action, there was this cool royal family scandal/undercover investigation subplot. This DVD is definitely worth renting.

RYAN: For sure. Next up we have “Step Up 2 The Streets,” which isn’t worth renting even a little bit. We loved the first “Step Up,” but this one was lame. The dancing was decent, but the lead girl wasn’t very compelling.

CAROLINE: All she had going for her were a few good dance moves and a sexy Demi Moore-esque voice. The best part of the movie was the first five minutes when Channing Tatum showed up.

RYAN: This was ostensibly a sequel but it had nothing to with the first one.

CAROLINE: They’re releasing some special Dance Off Edition of the DVD which I can’t imagine anyone would be interested in. Maybe some kids liked this movie, but we found it painful.

RYAN: Totally. Take our advice and skip it.
