INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL

RYAN: “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” is one of the best movies in decades!

CAROLINE: OK, that’s a little bit of an exaggeration, but it’s really good. It’s such an exciting movie. I really don’t have much to say other than, “Go see it immediately.”

RYAN: Unlike the new wave of “Star Wars” films, which were random and over the top, this movie is exactly what you want it to be. It’s just another Indiana Jones film, and it picks up with the same energy and momentum and sensibility as the first three.

CAROLINE: I don’t remember the first three very well, but the highlights of what you know and love about Indy will come right back to you. And Harrison Ford, while old, is way hot.

RYAN: He looks gorgeous, and I loved seeing Marion back. She looks fantastic too. Shia LeBeouf also does a wonderful job.

CAROLINE: The movie takes place in 1957 and I loved Shia’s ’50s hairstyle and leather jacket. There’s a scene in a diner that totally reminded me of “Back to the Future.” They perfectly captured the era.

RYAN: Steven Spielberg is so on point with this film. The man is an artist. The period, the costumes, the cars and the color are all amazing and so well done.

CAROLINE: For someone like me who gets confused easily in movies, the plot is slightly tricky but you can still totally follow it. Just let go of some of the details and you’ll be fine.

RYAN: It’s my favorite Indy film other than the first one. The second and third weren’t quite as good, but this one has a great storyline. Basically, Indy has to work with these bad guys in order to find the treasure and they go on a great adventure.

CAROLINE: But they’re also competing to get to the treasure at the same time.

RYAN: I just think it was almost as perfect as a movie can be. It’s so well written and the performances are fabulous.

CAROLINE: Thank you Steve Spielberg for keeping the length to two hours. Parfait!

RYAN: As for Cate Blanchett, not only does she look fantastic but her accent is brilliant. We love her in everything she does. Her eyes are amazing.

CAROLINE: What about her eyebrows? They were impeccably maintained. I’d like to congratulate her brow stylist.

RYAN: When you hear that theme music, it’s just so exciting. They really did the movie right. Indiana Jones is such an icon, and they played it up perfectly. Like when you see the shadow of his hat before you even see his face.

CAROLINE: Loved it! It’s laugh out loud funny but also has great action. I gasped several times. I got nervous, I got excited. It’s one of those movie that has so much hype that you’re sitting there thinking, “Oh God, I really hope this movie is as good as I want it to be.” And the good news is, it is!

RYAN: That sounds like your bottom line.

CAROLINE: Totally. Honestly, is there a person in America who isn’t anticipating this movie? I don’t need to tell you what to do, people; just go see it!

RYAN: As a matter of fact, I will. I fully intend to see it again as soon as possible. It’s worth multiple viewings in the theater for sure.

CAROLINE: Run, don’t walk!

Thanks For Viewing The INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL
