New on DVD

CAROLINE: New on DVD today, we have “Untraceable” starring Diane Lane and Colin Hanks, son of Tom.

RYAN: This movie was such a “Silence of the Lambs” rip off, but it was pretty good.

CAROLINE: I particularly enjoyed the hot guy who almost hooked up with Diane Lane. And I loved how great Diane Lane looked even though she was barely wearing any makeup throughout the whole movie.

RYAN: It’s pretty grisly though, so be warned. I especially hated the animal torture scene.

CAROLINE: I hated the people torture more. Also new on DVD today, Denzel Washington’s “Great Debaters,” which pleasantly surprised us last year.

RYAN: FYI there’s a regular DVD edition and a 2-disc special edition. I really liked this movie, but it didn’t get tons of buzz. We thought it was Oscar worthy, especially Denzel’s performance.

CAROLINE: He was fabulous! His arrogance in real life tends to annoy me, but I couldn’t believe how great he was in this movie. Definitely worth a rental.

RYAN: It’s a good one for sure. Be prepared to be uplifted and get misty.
