THE BANK JOB

RYAN: “The Bank Job” may be my favorite Guy Ritchie film of all time.

CAROLINE: Ha ha. Guy Ritchie didn’t direct this, but I see your point. It’s a British heist film starring Jason Statham, who has become a staple in films like this. I think he’s awesome.

RYAN: He did a great job, but I have to say that he wasn’t attractive enough to be playing opposite Saffron Burrows of “Boston Legal” fame. It should have been Clive Owen or someone else of equal hotness.

CAROLINE: I totally disagree. I think Jason Statham is de-gorgeous.

RYAN: But Saffron Burrows is so beautiful that she eats the camera. She almost makes me want to be straight.

CAROLINE: Her cheekbones scare me though. They’re not properly placed on her face and her cheeks look sunken. Either that or she’s dying of malnutrition.

RYAN: I think it’s the latter. She’s extremely skinny and that’s why she’s on the David E. Kelly show “Boston Legal.” He loves his women emaciated.

CAROLINE: “The Bank Job” is a really fun movie. I thought it was a touch too long, but I totally enjoyed it. It’s based on a real bank robbery from the ‘70s, which was so cool that I’m almost inspired to do research on the actual events. Plus the costumes are really fun.

RYAN: I was very entertained by this film. There are several plots going on and you don’t really know how they all connect almost to a point where it’s confusing. But then it all ties together at the end. It’s also very well cast.

CAROLINE: I was really into the sub-plot involving the radical Malcolm X-type guy. It had great intrigue. Overall, this is a cool heist movie like “The Italian Job.”

RYAN: There’s also some really interesting camerawork. Some of the angles are a little jarring and not always appropriate, but they’re creative nonetheless. Bottom line?

CAROLINE: I think “cool” is really the word that best describes this movie. All the characters are badass, and you’re always on the edge of your seat because the robbery is very tense and then the aftermath is even more tense. I’d definitely recommend this. My only complaint is that it’s about 10 minutes too long.

RYAN: It might have been a tad too long, but I was certainly never bored. I’d recommend it too. I think it’s an entertaining film if you don’t mind all the British accents.

CAROLINE: [laughs’ I quite like them.

RYAN: Me too. If it’s not a Harry Potter movie, it’s “The Bank Job.”

Thanks For Viewing The THE BANK JOB
