New on DVD

RYAN: So I randomly stopped at the Virgin Megastore in Times Square on my way home after our movie screening tonight. And guess what caught my eye on the new release wall?

CAROLINE: I’m sure I don’t know.

RYAN: A new DVD edition of “The Wiz”!

CAROLINE: You must have lost it!

RYAN: A little bit. And then I bought it.

RYAN: Once home, I popped it in and it’s really identical to the previous edition of “The Wiz” on DVD. This one just has a new shiny cover and comes with a random CD of six tracks from the movie.

CAROLINE: That’s random. I imagine those who want the soundtrack would buy the whole thing.

RYAN: Exactly! Who wants a random selection/sampler of the soundtrack. It’s helping no one.

CAROLINE: Any other special features?

RYAN: Just a played out making-of that is so outdated and boring. When are we gonna get a nice 2-disc edition with lots of extras?

CAROLINE: Um… never. Because you’re probably the only person on earth who cares about it.

RYAN: You might be right.
