New on DVD
RYAN: A movie neither of us bothered to see, “Good Luck Chuck,” comes out on DVD today.
CAROLINE: I was really psyched to see this when I first heard about it… but then we weren’t able to go to the screening, and I heard terrible things about it, so I skipped it. I do semi-enjoy Dane Cook though, so I might consider renting this.
RYAN: Well, it co-stars Jessica Alba who should be thanking Jesus every day that she has an acting career, so I shan’t be seeing it.
CAROLINE: The extras on this DVD are few, but it does have audio commentary from the director and writer, as well as from Dane Cook. Dane’s commentary is unrated so it’s sure to be racy.
RYAN: Also out on DVD today – another dumb movie that we didn’t bother to see, “Mr. Woodcock,” starring Billy Bob Thornton.
CAROLINE: He really runs the gamut between cool indie movies and over-the-top broad comedies, doesn’t he?
RYAN: It also stars Susan Sarandon and Seann William Scott. I’ll never understand why Susan agreed to do this movie.
CAROLINE: The DVD doesn’t even have any special features. Basically what we’re saying is, don’t even think about renting this movie.
RYAN: Unless you have a bizarre love for Sean William Scott for some reason. Then we can’t help you.
