Golden Globe Awards Update

RYAN: The news we’ve been fearing and dreading has sadly come to pass.

CAROLINE: I feel like there’s been a death in the family.

RYAN: I know. Maybe instead of having a Golden Globes screening party, we should throw a Golden Globes ’08 wake… and have Rice Krispies treats to pay our respects.

CAROLINE: [laughs’ I bet Rumer Willis has never been more bummed. She was supposed to be Miss Golden Globe.

RYAN: Seriously. I can’t believe there are no Golden Globes this year. All is not well in the world. This writers’ strike has to end soon.

CAROLINE: I know! The winners will not even be announced at a private ceremony. Instead, the winning names will be read at a press conference this Sunday, January 13th, broadcast on NBC at 9pm Eastern.

RYAN: That is so rich. Some stars dream their whole lives about having the chance to give an acceptance speech. This year’s nominees have to be so disappointed.

CAROLINE: Who cares about the nominees? I wanted to see the fashion on the red carpet and watch the show in general.

RYAN: And now… a moment of silence…
