New on DVD

CAROLINE: “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer” comes out on DVD today. Yawn.
RYAN: You didn’t even bother to see this movie in the theater, but I suffered through it.

CAROLINE: Then I had to suffer through it during our recent flight to Dallas. Chris Evans is hot, but not hot enough to keep me tuned in. I turned the volume off after 20 minutes.

RYAN: But for the true fans of this franchise, at least the DVD has some cool extras: audio commentaries from the director as well as the four lead cast members, deleted scenes, a ‘making of’ feature and some other small featurettes.

CAROLINE: I’m over it. Also out on DVD today is a movie we really dug, “1408” starring John Cusack.
RYAN: Ooh, it was so creepy and good! We loved it because of John Cusack, but it’s also a great thriller.

CAROLINE: Hello, it was Stephen King! Of course it was going to be good. No DVD extras though.

RYAN: Whatever…it’s still worth a rental.
