New on DVD

CAROLINE: “Knocked Up” comes out on DVD today! If you haven’t seen this movie yet, stop what you’re doing and rent it immediately.

RYAN: We loved this movie! It’s definitely one of the best comedies this year.

CAROLINE: And of course, Judd Apatow does not disappoint with the DVD extras. There are tons, including the usual gag reel, deleted scenes, audio commentary with Judd himself as well as the star Seth Rogen; but they also do lots of fun featurettes as well as putting on Katherine Heigl’s audition. Good times!

RYAN: Also out on DVD today is “Bug,” a horror flick starring Ashley Judd and Harry Connick Jr. We missed this movie in the theater, but it’s supposed to be pretty good.

CAROLINE: It might be too scary for me, but you can rent it. It’s directed by the legendary William Friedkin who also did “The Exorcist.”

RYAN: He provides audio commentary for the DVD as well as a “discussion.” I’m not sure what that means, but this could be worth a rental for sure.
