CASINO ROYALE
RYAN: What do they call a Quarter Pounder with cheese in Paris?
CAROLINE: Umm…Le Quarter Pounder?
RYAN: No. They call it a Royale with cheese. And that’s “Casino Royale” to you.
CAROLINE: Wow! What a movie!
RYAN: This was a stunningly gorgeous Bond film.
CAROLINE: Not to mention a stunningly gorgeous Bond… his body, anyway.
RYAN: Yes. Daniel Craig has the biggest ears we’ve ever seen.
CAROLINE: He’s a little Dumbo-esque but we won’t hold it against him. He’s still cute.
RYAN: His eyes! They are piercing and blue; cool like the ocean.
CAROLINE: They really are something to behold. You wonder if they’re fake, they’re so blue.
RYAN: They’re real. And he’s in glorious shape. But everyone in this film is really pretty. Even the bad guys are kinda sexy.
CAROLINE: We were lucky enough to see an advanced screening of this movie at the Ziegfeld, which is always amazing since it’s a huge theater in NYC where many movie premieres are held. And I brought my brother, Bill, with me.
RYAN: And our good friend Ashok was kind enough to grace us with his presence.
CAROLINE: And I think they’re better people for having seen this movie.
RYAN: As are we! We were fantastically entertained.
CAROLINE: This movie is awesome. And I will use the word “awesome.” The action is non-stop and very exciting.
RYAN: Well, I don’t know if it’s non-stop – there were moments I remember thinking, “Ok it’s time for something to blow up now.”
CAROLINE: Ok,you need not take me so literally. The opening sequence is such fun, I was gripping my brother’s arm the whole time – and I’m sure he loved it.
RYAN: And Daniel Craig now owns the Bond franchise. Throughout the film, he grew into the role of James Bond fabulously.
CAROLINE: He’s also giving Tom Cruise a run for his money – pun intended – with his running ability! He ran just as well as Tom did in MI:3.
RYAN: I know! He was constantly running after cars and catching up with them!
CAROLINE: It’s really an incredible movie and such fun to watch.
RYAN: It really hit all of the classic Bond notes too – the over-the-top beautiful women, the Bond-mobile, the 007…
CAROLINE: The scenery was unbelievable too. They shot it all over Europe and the Bahamas and it’s just gorgeous.
RYAN: And the script had some funny, funny lines.
CAROLINE: Very witty dialogue!
RYAN: Judi Dench was brilliant.
CAROLINE: And she’s funny! She’s only in it for a bit but she’s great. And it’s fun to see her being funny.
RYAN: It just has a really good feel about it.
CAROLINE: I think and hope that this will do very well at the box office this weekend. You gotta see it! It’s a fun, action flick. What more do you want? And is there anything else out like this right now? I think not.
RYAN: I mean, what could one rather see?
CAROLINE: Nothing! And I don’t even like Bond movies.
RYAN: What’s your bottom line here?
CAROLINE: “Casino Royale” is A-W-E-S-O-M-E. I was so not disappointed.
RYAN: Me neither. It’s the best of any Bond film that I’ve seen – an insta-classic.
